My name is Nicolas Casella. I was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in 1977.
In 2003, I decided to move to Cozumel Island, Mexico, to work in the hospitality industry.
Two months after moving to the island, I took an open water diving course, and my perspective on life changed instantly.
A few months later, I worked as a videographer at a dive center in Playa del Carmen, where I discovered the world of cenotes and caves.
From there, I trained to become an open water instructor, a cave diver, and a lover of the natural wonders of the Yucatan Peninsula.
In 2007, I decided to launch my own project, Cenotexperience—a boutique diving operation specialized in caverns and caves, providing a personalized service tailored to each client’s specific needs and requirements.
In addition to cenote diving, we offer ocean diving in Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, as well as recreational and technical courses. Over the years, I have logged more than 10,000 dives across Mexico, Belize, Thailand, Indonesia, the Red Sea, and Florida—with the vast majority being in the cave systems of Yucatan.
I speak Spanish, English, and French.

My name is Martín Casella, and I was born in Córdoba, Argentina. I’ve always had a passion for nature and the outdoors.
When I was 15 years old, I did my first Discover Scuba Dive in Brazil. It was an experience that changed my life and sparked a passion that has only grown stronger over the years.
After moving to Playa del Carmen in 2007, I completed my Open Water certification. Following several ocean dives, I discovered the cenotes—and everything changed. From that moment, I knew I had found what I wanted to dedicate my life to. I fell in love not only with diving, but also with the unique underwater world hidden beneath the Yucatán Peninsula.
In 2009, I began working as a Divemaster and underwater videographer at a local dive center. A year later, I became a PADI Open Water Instructor and completed my Full Cave Diver training, opening the door to the incredible world of cave diving.
In 2013, I joined my brother Nico in what would become CenoteXperience. Together, we built the dive center with a simple goal: to share our passion for cenotes and create unforgettable diving experiences for every guest.
Over the years, I have logged more than 10,000 dives throughout the Riviera Maya, including ocean, cavern, and cave dives. One of the things I enjoy most is continuing to explore and learn. Together with Nico, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in several cave exploration projects, discovering new passages and expanding our knowledge of these extraordinary underwater systems.
Today, I feel incredibly fortunate to call this place home and to share its beauty with divers from all over the world.
